Charity was founded in 2009 to help San Francisco Bay Area charities
and not-for-profits raise money by providing them unique furniture to
auction at fundraisers. Chairs 4 Charity’s Adirondack chairs and
benches are made from old skis and snowboards, and salvaged lumber.
 Chairs 4 Charity is the
brainchild of Barry Mendelson. As a Testicular Cancer survivor and
passionate about giving back to the community, Barry sought a way to
turn two of his hobbies (skiing and wood working) into a valuable
community service. He was inspired by the quilts his sister makes and
donates to local auctions in support of public education. When not
outdoors with his wife and two daughters, Barry is as a Financial
Advisor and President of Elevation Wealth Management - a Northern
California, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor he founded.
